Cape Floral kingdom, how I love thee

The Western Cape of South Africa is home to one of the six floral kingdoms of the world, called Fynbos. Fynbos consists out of 9000 species, of which 6200 are endemic and grow nowhere else in the world. When I lived in Cape Town I was greatly inspired by the natural beauty of Fynbos and started embroidering floral shapes inpsired by Fynbos flowers.
